Shepstone is located in the beautiful central coast of California, USA. Our family has had Border Collies for over 35 years and we would not be without them. Our prefix, "Shepstone", came into play with the arrival of our first show dog in 2016. After his arrival we realized the type of Border Collie we wanted to strive for. One that is both intelligent and beautiful as well as being healthy, and sound in mind and body. One that is easily trained and willing to please. This is also our goals while breeding each litter.
We work our dogs daily on our small herd of dairy goats to ensure that they have a job. Play is equally as important and we enjoy taking the dogs to the many wonderful beaches surrounding us. We have a large family which makes for excellent opportunities to socialize our dogs and pups around children of all ages. Our dogs and pups are raised around our farm with goats, poultry and rabbits. Socialization is very important for a Border Collie.
We strongly believe in raising our dogs as holistically as possible. We feed our dogs grain free food in addition to RAW much of which we raise on our own farm. We very minimally vaccinate and have done tons of research before deciding to go this route.
